The 3rd year photography class went on their annual field trip recently. We went a bit closer to home this year and caught the train to Simonstown, where students were collected by staff and taken to our accommodation above Boulders. We did a daylight fill-in-flash project, a road trip project, a night shoot, a sunrise shoot and a speed light and digital compositing and lighting shoot run by Ashley Walters.
We were also visited by this years Tierney Fellow, CJ Chandler and our Photography Technician, Sitaara Stodel. Our final shoot took place on a boat with a tour of the bay and around the lighthouse. We ate well, worked hard and laughed a lot. Thanks to all who took part in and facilitated this wonderful learning experience.
